20 yoga and mindfulness TED talks you need to watch-Pin

If you don’t know ‘TED” is not a person (which I originally thought it was! Oops! It was actually created by a guy named Richard). “TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. The TED talk company launched in 1984 and today cover almost all topics in more than 110 languages!

TED talks pride them selves on their slogan Ideas worth spreading. Mindfulness and yoga are two of those ideas.

A quick YouTube search will yield a TON of results for TED talks about yoga and mindfulness.

Don’t worry! I’ve taken all the guess work out, saved you some time, and compiled some of my favourite yoga and mindfulness TED talks for you!

Your mindfulness list looks great and I see a few that I am going to watch. Thank you for sharing this. Being mindful about what we are doing instead of just doing something for the sake of doing it gives our activities more purpose.

Very true Brenda! I love doing things with purpose! This was one of my favourite blog posts to write because I got to spend some time watching and learning from these TED talks as I was preparing to share them with others! 🙂

Awesome list. My daughters are 4 & 5 and I love doing yoga with them…what do you think about the Why Aren’t We Teaching You Mindfulness by AnneMarie Rossi video?

Hi Kate! I love AnneMarie’s video! I think she does an excellent job at explaining mindfulness for those who may be new to the practice! She is also profound in talking about how our reactions are what we are judged on- not how we rationalize and reason our emotions and reactions. She is right that access to mindfulness is the reason why not everyone practices. That’s why people like myself strive to provide free and affordable resources so that everyone can have access! AND she’s funny!
